<p>A low-pass filter is an electronic circuit that allows low-frequency signals to pass through while attenuating high-frequency signals. It is commonly used in audio and video processing, as well as in communication systems to remove unwanted noise and improve signal quality. The frequency response of a low-pass filter depends on its design parameters, such as the cutoff frequency and the order of the filter. Lower cutoff frequencies result in greater attenuation of high frequencies, while higher order filters provide steeper roll-off rates. Low-pass filters can be implemented using various types of components, such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors, and can be designed for both analog and digital systems.</p>
